The operator of an aerodrome intended for international air transport operations shall
be in possession of an aerodrome certificate.
As of 31st December 2012, an operator of an aerodrome intended for domestic
operations for public use shall obtain an aerodrome certificate if the maximum passenger
seating capacity of the aircraft employed in the operation exceeds 30 seats.
As part of the certification process, the aerodrome operators shall prepare and submit
to the Director General of Civil Aviation an aerodrome manual which will include all
pertinent information on the aerodrome site, facilities, services, equipment, operating
procedures, organization and management including a safety management system, is
submitted by the applicant for acceptance prior to granting the aerodrome certificate.
