Fees & Charges Levied by CAA
Schedule
1. In terms of Section 39 of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka Act No.34 of 2002 and pursuant to the Determination of Charges Regulations of 2004 published in the Gazette Extra Ordinary No. 1349/10 dated 14th July 2004, the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAA) has made these Rules relating to fees levied for the issue/validation, renewal or amendment of any licence, certificate or other legal authority granted by the CAA or any services provided by the CAA.
2. The fees to be levied by the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka or Director-General of Civil Aviation for provision of facilities and services shall be as listed under the Schedule hereto. These fees are specifically aimed at charging for the services rendered by the CAA in processing or evaluating of applications for various licences/certificates or other authorizations issued by DGCA or provision of other services and therefore these fees do not substitute but supplement whatever fees payable to the Director General of Civil Aviation in terms of the Air Navigation Regulations of 1955 for issue/validation, renewal or amendment of any licence, certificate or other legal authority granted by him.
3. Any applicant seeking facilities or services mentioned below shall furnish to the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka all applicable information as required by the Civil Aviation Authority or Director-General of Civil Aviation together with the fees mentioned in Column II of the Schedule, at the time of submitting the application.
4. An applicant shall, in addition to the fees mentioned in the Schedule hereto, bear the full cost of air passage, hotel accommodation and daily subsistence allowance at the approved rate for the officials whom the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka may have to engage to perform any work overseas in relation to the application. The cost of air passage is calculated on the basis of full fare economy class seat round trip if the flight time is less than six hours. For trips involving flight time of six hours or more the cost of air passage will be calculated on the basis of full fare business class round trip.
