General Roahan Daluwatte

General Rohan Daluwatte born in Ambalangoda received his primary education at Pannipitiya Dharmapala College and Secondary education at Ananda College Colombo.

He joined the Sri Lanka Army in 1961 and received Cadet Training at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst and later Youth Officers Training at the Royal Armoured Corps Centre, Bovington.

After holding many highranking positions in the Sri Lanka Army he retired as Army Commander. He was also the Sri Lankan Ambassador in Brazil from 2002 to 2005 and also the Chairman of the National Gems and Jewelleries Authority.
