The Authority promulgated heliport standards through the Implementing Standards 41 (IS 41), which points standards to be complied by the operator who intends to establish heliports. (Click here to visit Implementing Standards)

Requirements

  1. Written request by the operator to the DGCA along with below details of the heliport.
    1. The highest D value of the helicopter intend to operate at the location.
    2. Dimension and location of FATO (Final approach and take-off area) and TLOF(Touchdown and lift-off area)
    3. Dimensions of the safety area.
    4. Dimensions and locations of helicopter stands, if any.
    5. Locations and heights of any buildings or structures in the proximity.
    6. Details of proposed take-off and approach paths.
  2. Submit heliport manual

Licensing procedure

The Authority promulgated heliport standards through the Implementing Standards 41 (IS 41), which points standards to be complied by the operator who intends to establish heliports After assessing of the details and physical inspection to check the compliancy against IS 41, the DGCA will grant the Heliport License subject to the applicable fee. (Click here to visit Implementing Standards)
