Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a technology that enables computers and machines to simulate human learning, comprehension, problem-solving, decision-making, creativity, and autonomy.

As a globally connected and fast-growing industry regulator, the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) is organizing a training program for its staff, recognizing the increasing importance of AI tools and their practical applications.

Under the leadership of Capt. Daminda Rambukwella, Director General of Civil Aviation & Chief Executive Officer (DGCA & CEO), the HR Team of CAASL successfully launched a comprehensive awareness program for staff. The training for the first batch commenced on 5th May 2026.

This initiative is conducted in collaboration with the Skills Development Fund Ltd (SDFL) and was honored by the presence of Capt. Daminda Rambukwella along with the participation of CAASL staff members.
