We regulate and implement medical requirements for all Classes of CAA Licence holders and oversee the approval and continued certification of Aeromedical Examiner panel.
We also provide aeromedical training, research, aeromedical awareness, public health services at Points of Entries, surveillance activities, regulatory & facilitation activities with other sections of CAA & other relevant stake holders and welfare of CAA clients and staff.
Our facility is open from 8.30 am to 4.15.pm on all working days.
We perform routine Medical Examinations for all categories of Student Pilots, Private Pilots, and Professional Pilots, Cabin Crew and for Air Traffic Controllers are held on Monday to Friday of the week from 10.30am – 01.00pm, by the special panel of Medical Examiners of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka.
Aeromedical Services (AMS) functions directly under DGCA and administered by Senior Civil Aviation Inspector (Aviation Medicine) with para medical support provided by two Nursing Officers.
